These guys are a personal favorite of mine, and always have been. I'm not sure if these guys are still together anymore, it's hard to find some info on them. So what are your guys opinions on this Chicago based skating punk band?

I'm probably goign to order their split w/ Kid Dynamite, and if I like it, I'll go from there. I heard one song on a Fat Wreck comp, but i cant think of what the song is now, but i liked it.

I used to listen to 88 Fingers Louie a lot. Now, I kind of grew out of them. I must say, however, their covers of Fearless Vampire Killers and New Direction are excellent.

These guys are better than 70% of the other stuff I see mentioned around here.

"Back on the Streets" is one of the best punk rock albums ever, in my humble opinion. They were a great band solely because they wrote awesome songs. They didn't have very good lyrics, and they weren't very technical or anything, but the songs were friggin' awesome.
No, they're not together anymore. A bunch of the guys from 88FL formed Rise Against though, so if you haven't checked them out, you totally should. They sound really similar at times, particularly on the "The Unraveling" album. Also, Mr Precision has started another band called Break the Silence, and they're really good too. I think they're breaking up though :(

Really good band. The bassist is amazing in 88 fingers louie and in Rise Against too. But if I have to choose, I slightly preffer his work with Rise Against. Great chord struggling there, but some 88 fingers louie songs have great lines too. Like "100 proof" (rise against-ish intro) and "Punk rock rulebook" or "Blink" (which is my favorite one)
"Blink" is so awesome, but so is "Summer Photos".

The intro to Summer Photos has to be one of my favorite intro's ever.

Yeah, I love how offbeat the riff is.

I want to comment on how great "88 Fingers Louie" looks. I like the shape of the words. I've absolutely no idea what the band sounds like, though.
They sound like Rise Against, only a little... uhm, I don't know, softer? No... Catchier, I think.
In other words, it's highly melodic hardcore/punk without being wimpy, and poppy without being trite.

Anything on the album Revolutions Per Minute. If you like Rise Against, and don't already like them, listen to the album Change is a Sound by Strike Anywhere. They're both awesome.

Pretty much anything. I cannot think of a song that isn't kickass, and that I wouldn't want you to hear.
Hit me up on aim (nafairamszet) if you want a sampling.
Strike anywhere is good, but I feel as though RA's Vocals are 10x better. Might just be my preference, though.
On a side note, I don't think Break the Silence is breaking up. Their site claims they're in the process of making a new album. :/. Granted, they haven't updated in a year, but their last album came out in 04, So, you'd think they'd drop the claim if they broke.
