How good is Tommy Igoe, like compared to Steve Gadd and such?

Tommy Igoe is awesome. He dances through any setting, with this incredible aura of groove. You can just feel him. Didn't he play the Lion King soundtrack?

Dunno..i only know phil collins did the tarzan soundtrack

nonsense!

According to imdb.com, no, Tommy Igoe had nothing to do with the Lion King.

I really liked the free little sections of his groove video on Vic Firth's website, I had a lot of fun with some of those, and he helps you a lot with what he says on his dvd

My first drum video I bought was his, Starting on drums setting it up and crap.

He's really funny, like not on purpose me and my brother just make fun of him.

One line was great, he said. "This is a BIG nut!" And there was an arrow pointing to the nut and it said "Big Nut".

Yeah he is a great teacher...he may say some silly things..but you never forget them..Groove essentials is my favorite DVD so far.

igoe is hilarious and the DVD is entertaining (not mentioning its educational aspects that goes without saying)

actually, i find if i 'mince' behind the kit abit, during songs that play the same groove throughout the song like, fools gold, it seems to flow better and i can hold it without loosing concentration, helps me get in the mood like.

Tommy's a great player. Though I personally think his feel is a bit flat.
