I already listen to a lot of Tragedy in the first place. But, if I listen to too much, I have a tendacy to want to kill myself. Tragedy will to that to a person.

Feel The Darkness

haha, I don't really listen to them that much anymore, but I am gonna go see em again since they're playing Chaos again. hah

I used to listen to them a lot but now I kind of can't stand them.

Why can't you stand them?

I guess I don't really like the sludgy sound that much anymore.

RetiredAt21
02-16-2006, 03:02 PM
I love sludgy, and I like it to be a little slow, but not RIDICULOUSLY slow like some bands I've heard.

Tragedy is really good, but I like His Hero Is Gone more.

I like them but I don't listen to them a lot.

From Ashes Rise>His Hero Is Gone>Tragedy

I'll get crucified for that opinion but Tragedy takes its toll on me

Switch Tragedy and His Hero is Gone and it'll be true.

Are HHIG faster than Tragedy?

Subvert_bassist
02-16-2006, 08:48 PM
Yes, they are. But haven't we already had the debate about the best Tragedy related band?

cbmartinez
02-16-2006, 08:54 PM
Awesome band though I will agree that HHIG is better.

Nice to see you back TeleJon.

Fritz Plays Bass
02-17-2006, 01:19 AM
Agreed

I am completely amazed that someone agreed with that. Normally I get the **** jumped outta me for saying FAR is better than HHIG or Tragedy, let alone both.

RetiredAt21
02-17-2006, 08:06 AM
I think His Hero Is Gone is the best out of that group of bands, then Tragedy.

Fritz Plays Bass

I guess seeing a band live gives you a bias, but Tragedy's recordings are too slow. I'm not always a fan of slow. Long, sure, slow, eh. I can stand BEL and Aus Rotten playing 4 minute songs because they're fast, but when Black Flag started playing those slow *** 5 minute metal songs it felt like they were torturing themselves for the sake of torturing me.

Subvert_bassist
02-17-2006, 11:26 AM
For me, FAR was my the first one I heard, and will forever be the best.

DaveToopes
02-17-2006, 11:29 AM
Same here, FAR was the first out of the three that I've heard, I like them the most I think.

I've seen Tragedy, and that's actually the reason I rank em lower, aside from the fact that I enjoy the music from FAR and HHIG more.

Why, is Tragedy bad live? I'm seein' them on the 26th.

Nah, they're decent, not bad. They just didn't impress me all that much. With all the hype, I would've expected an amazing show, but it wasn't. They're still good live, just not what I had anticipated. They're cool dudes though, and Warcry played the weekend that I saw Tragedy, and I liked their show alot more.

RetiredAt21

I want to see them REAL bad.

Subvert_bassist
02-17-2006, 03:41 PM
Yeah, J, I know what ya mean. That's how I felt when i saw Caustic Christ. It was like, "Well, not bad, but that's it?" World Burns to Death totally blew them away at that show.

Fritz Plays Bass

Please do not ruin it for me, I'm FINALLY seeing Caustic Christ my first time in April with subhumans and I'm praying they're half as good as I hope/think they are.

I think I said already that I saw Subhumans, Leftover Crack, World/Inferno Friendship Society, From Ashes Rise, and Bent Outta Shape at one show. It was supposed to be Morning Glory opening but Ezra got sick and hospitalized, so yeah. I'm also seeing Phobia, 9 Shocks Terror, Disfear, and two other bands soon. Mmmm, good shows.

the Dicks are really old school hardcore punk, kind of like the Big Boys. Warhead and Forward are both japanese thrashy hardcore bands. I don't have any Forward on my pc, but you can get the Dicks and Warhead off of me.

yeah, it was lots of fun last year. Hellshock basically took the show last year for me. So awesome. It was a good summer. 16, all alone for 3 days in Austin, money in my pocket for records...haha, that just can't be beat. Oh and the vegan food was insane, too.

Limp Wrist rules, I wish I was into them more when I saw them at Pointless Fest.
