Here are some rare video's of Prince on bass showing about 25% of his overall skill, He chooses not to play bass to much in public because he mainly focuses on guitar and piano. When he chooses too he can play as good as anyone out there. I saw him do a solo in 2004 and it was very impressive.
Try listening to "Lets Work" or "777-9311" to hear some of his older bass work.

I have "Rave un2 The Year 2000" and it has him and Larry Graham doing a cool little bass solo; it's pretty cool. Unfortunately, I don't have a video of it I can post. :(

Prince is possibly my biggest influence as a whole. Hes amazing.
You have to respect the guy, he's simply awe-inspiringly homosexual.
Pretty good musician, too.
I just got into him and he is SO INCREDIBLE!

He's married...to woman. ;) He's very effeminate though.

He can't drum (very well).
He played everything in the title track of his 2003/2004 album (musicology) and the drums are naff compared to when he plays with John Blackwell on drums.
Bob, go beat your stick(s).

He's pretty damn good at guitar though. I just saw him on the Brit Awards laying down some sweet solos. :D

Yeah, I saw him on that as well. He's a great guitarist, but that's his main instrument. He played a bit on Stevie Wonders last album as well.
