Hey all
has anyone tried any of these 3 basses
I want to get a thumb, prefferably the neck thru, but it's way too expensive for me
but the thumb is fine pricewise
can anyone point out the exact difference between neckthru and bolt-on and if it's worth spending some thousand dollars extra for the neckthru version?
also if anyone has experience with the thumb (either one) and corvette, please can you compare them...i personally like the looks and color of the corvette standard more
thanks

i have the thumb neck-thru, and the only reason i bought that over the bolt-onw as becasue i got it for $1400 which i figured would never happen again so i went for it..and let me tell you, it is a truly amazing bass. You can acheive practically any sound you want out of it and it is known for representing the warwick's trademark "growl"....the bolt-on however is a fine bass as well, and i don't think the difference between and bolt-on versiona dn neck-through version of a bass should deter you from getting it...you will be extremely happy witht he bolt-on..i have never tried a corvette though...but each of the thumbs are amazing basses
EDIT: Also, if you have never seen a thumb with your own eyes...the grain in person is unbelievable. It looks amazing...do not judge by looks until you have seen all of them with your own eyes

the thumb BO has less sustain that the NT... NT's have more sustain cause the sound travels farther, through the neck :thumb:
the corvette is nice, but i prefer the thumb. i dont OWN any but have playe the 2 models alot

i heard that the thumb bolt on is better.
and the corvette after weighing the pros and cons turned out to be an alright bass ... thick neck ... but nice playability and EXTREMELY clear harmonics

i played 2 thumbs and a double buck....i did not like how the pickups on the thumbs were so close to the bridge it kinda wrecked it for me... i loved the double buck but when i slaped the strings hit the pups so im thinking a Vette STD. is right up my alley

I would go and try them all for yourself, don't trust other people's words, trust your hands and ears.
