Hey Kids,

I still have an Ampeg SVT 3 Pro for sale. Asking price is $450.00 US, plus the cost of shipping.

This is 1st generation SVT 3, which means it was produced in 1997 and looks different from the current line in production now. Amp works fantastically, is in great shape. I just don't need it anymore. I upgraded to much louder things.

I accept PayPal or M.O. No personal checks.

Personal pictures of the amp can be produced if requested just so ya don't think I'm cheatin' ya.

Yes, it is the same Specs as the new SVT, just the outer frame and knobbies are different. I will post pictures !

I am selling this because it simply isn't loud enough for my gig. The unit works just fine, it just isn't loud enough. I now use a Tech 21 RBI preamp and a QSC RMX 1450 power amp.

^Do you regularly play at football ovals without a PA?

/useless unconstructive post.

Nice rig, Musician Forums can be a tough place to sell stuff. The people at Talkbass are all rich though.

Not quite football stadiums, but I have to compete with two Mesa Boogie Triple Recs, and they were killing me in stage volume. So I upgraded. Now I am evenly matched.

Asyd. I currently have a very similar set up as you, except I have the QSC 850 (well actually it's coming). Can you tell me how it's performing so far? Is the rig pretty loud, etc.

It's performing quite well ! Just as I had expected. I thought I might be able to run it bridged and in mono, but thats 1400 watts into one cabinet, and mine is only rated for 600.
I run it in parallel now, only using the one channel to power my Ampeg 610. It has plenty of headroom, which is fantastic for me, cuz I really turn the drive up on the RBI. Handles all the lows and the highs. It's perfect.
