Hey guys, i need to think about topping-up on sticks pretty soon.

I looked through a few copies of rhythm and found an advert for sticksdirect. They seem to be the cheapest for vater 5A wood tip sticks.

But for 12 pairs, £75.48 without shipping seems a bit steep to me...

I also was wondering if anyone here plays and recommends stagg sticks.
I see them going for £20 for 12 pairs on ebay which makes less than £2 a pair! At that price its worth asking around if they are worth the money
They are made of maple by the way

If anyone can post a good place to buy sticks from (in the UK) or even a cheaper alternative that would be helpful :)

Im not loaded and sticksdirect are offering vater sticks at £6.28 if i buy 12pairs at once, but still i cant help but think that the money could be put towards something a little more worthwhile, such as cymbals... heads... etc

Cheers,
Austin

GAK has loads of sticks, unfortunately I don't think it has the specific ones you want but take a look.

I heard from somewhere, that Stagg have all their sticks made by Vic Firth - don't know if its true. My friend left a pair at my house and they seem ok though.

The last time I bought sticks I got 12 Vater Power 5A's for £70 from a local shop.

Thats £23 off the shop price.
