I would feel retarded if i sat on yellow pages, get a new throne or put your throne on something higher.

well its a long story, but really all that happened it when i took the cymbals and everyting from behing it i stepped on on the pedel to gain extra height too reach the wing nut. then my pedel just slipped down, the allan key mustn'y have been tight enough. these pics where taken today by the way.
What yous think of my refinnishing job?
Edit: If you look closely you can see the black beeter at about 90 degrees with the bass drum

My God, is that a Gibraltar double falam patch I see on your bass drum? Those things are butt poo, mine peeled off like a shrivelled burnt hot dog when I put it on, Evans patches all the way.

Lower your floor tom and snare. The floor tom looks like it could go a lot lower.

If it's like my throne, I just drilled a new hole in the shaft. Pull the seat all the out. My shaft had 6 or 8" of steel with no set holes further down, so I drilled new ones.

Not everyone has the money to just go out and plop down $150+ on a new throne. You little rich kids on here with your daddys buying you new DW's every week need to undrestand this. It's like the clowns who were bashing me for having B8 cymbals with my Starclassic, you think I really like the B8's? You think if I had the money I wouldn't have new cymbals? Idiots.

Cracks me up to man. Save your money & buy one cymbal at a time, 10 years later, hey look at my kit now! I don't want to go without a crash or ride for any amount of time, so the el-cheapos are what I have to get. Even if I did have major $$, I doubt I'd waste it on cymbals etc. But to each their own.
They bashed B8's?
Buying cymbals is not a waste :p

Ah in that way :)
Well...I knew the days that I didn't have a lot of money...and then you indeed buy some lower class stuff...which you regret after a while...saving for better gear really pays off in the end.

I can't believe you have the audacity to attack me in such a way. If you only knew me in real life you would never say anything like that. I am far from rich. You wanna know how I bought my roc and soc throne and all of my my other drum stuff?!?!? I got a job and I saved up my money for it. Guess what?! I didn't have a car to drive at 16 that I could call my own. I actually paid half of my parents car payment because the family needed a vehicle. I didn't bitch either because if I didn't help them pay for that car none of us would have had a way to go anywhere. That's not even half the story right there but you know what......**** you ****-pump.
Oh and by the way take a look at my kit and the cymbals I use:angry:

I never mentioned anyone specifically, but there are a lot of those types on these boards. I never was talking about you directly.

Sounded that way to me.
Anyway, the thrones with the screw adjustment are pretty good. I’ve got a fairly cheap one from Thomann which is ok. It’s not as good as roc n soc but similar design.
