I usually don't post stupid questions, but does anyone know what bass he uses? I've really tried to google, but I can't find anything.

He's a great bass player, btw - if you haven't heard any of their stuff, check them out! They're awesome.

Thanks!

Spector. He just started using them, though.

For some reason that bass reminds me of the Warwick Jack Bruce Cream Reunion bass.

The first time I saw Porcupine Tree he used a Fretless Wal. The 2nd and 3rd he used a MusicMan Bongo. :)

For me, seeing him with anything other than the Wal would just be wrong...

That might be because that happens to be a Wal ripoff?

Wal and Spector is what I've seen him with.

Wal:
Mach I fretless with American cherry facings and chrome hardware
21 fret 4-string with ash facings and chrome hardware.

Spector:
Euro4LX in Natural Oil.

"Strip the Soul" has one of the simplest but most effective basslines in the world....

just thought I'd throw that out there since I haven't posted much in awhile.
