There is an Australian duo that some of you may heard of called The Presets currently about to start their tour of US/UK whilst supporting Wolfmother. There sound isn't unique, what it is though, is fun. A band on the same label (Modular) called Cut Copy has a similar sound, but is more rocky and features a guitar. If any of you have heard of either bands, specifically The Presets, I would just like suggestions on similar bands or groups. Maybe if you havn't even heard either band and are familiar with electro-pop as a genre suggest some?

No, The Postal Service isn't really what I'm after. Though I am a big fan.

What a weird coincidence. I was just listening to some electro-pop.

I saw The Presets at the BDO so I was listening to them, and there's this other duo called I Am The World Trade Center that I was listening to as well. They're good. Very...80s.

The Presets played an awesome and very fun set despite being placed in a crappy timeslot. Thanks I'm going to check out that other band now.

I haven't heard The Presets, but Royksopp and Moloko are pretty good.

Obvious suggestion here, but check out New Order, if you haven't already. Big influence on both of those bands.

I Am The World Trade Center was ok, didn't spark anything really. I discovered The Faint, who I have heard of before, but always thought there were some pop-punk band, don't ask me why. They are fun, and I'm slowly moving into the New Wave territory.

The Faint are highly enjoyable. Danse Macabre is their best.

Gerling

Only old Gerling, like 'Enter Space Capsule', that song makes me feel like i am euphoria. It's so incredibly happy. Their new stuff is just plain crap.
