I realise i posted this in the wrong place first - It wont allow me to delete it, sorry for that. I also realise this post resembles to amps/cabs one currently underneith it. I just wanted to ask some specific questions.

Got a nice amp head yesterday and wanting to ask a few questions. They may be silly and basic - but we all need to learn.

It says no lower than 4ohms. Am I right in thinking that means no 2ohms speakers - only 4ohms and 8ohms yes ?

It is 300watts - I dont have a cab yet - but I have access to two 250w 8ohms speakers - will they be of any use and what will the result be ?

Also will I need to use "speaker" leads rather than just normal leads ?

ok on the ohm point, youre almost there

it means the minimum impedence is to be no less that 4ohms. That means you cam have 2 8ohm cabinets, one 4 ohm cabinet, or 4 16 ohm cabinets...so on and so forth. Dont use 2 4 ohm cabinets or 4 8 ohm cabinets or 1 2ohm cab. Your amp wont like it and will probably overheat and die.

and yes, use speaker leads
