Yea, so i had the day off today and was bored so decided to come up with a song, its only my second one, and i think it came out pretty good considering i have pretty much taught myself every thing about music. (i still have TONS of tihngs to work on however) I purposely made the guitar part easy so i could try to learn it since i jsut got a guitar for christmas, so if it seems to bore you, especially in the beginning, i agree lol.

well heres the link for it:

heres the first one i did, still needs a little work, but i guess is a finished version:

Tell me what you think, ANY replies are appreciated, u can praise or hate me i honestly dont care, just want a little of feedback.

Dont get mad at me if this isnt the right place to post it cuz its not necesarilly drum related. im posting it here because D&P is the only place i post in.

thnx in ahead

ASSHOLE, the second link almost busted my speakers

oh, great, now I can't judge without bias, thanks a lot

the top one felt choppy due to huge break in the bass line and because midi doesn't really capture the lingering overtones of instruments it feels empty

i really liked both...if those were written into actual songs they would be GREAT!

Thnx a lot. Only if i had stuff to record with... (and really knew how to play guitar)
I think they would sound pretty cool played with instruments, maybe il b lucky enough to either get in a band or get all the equip to record everything myself.

if perhaps you would use a soft synth and save them as mp3, they would sound nicer. Midi has the tendency to sound like crap if it comes from a standard onboard processor.
They sound nice, but somewhat hollow. I think the bass lines needs to move by itself in the intro to the new2 file.

Yeah, you can get some pretty decent soundfonts and save as mp3, they can sound alright... I have a whole page of the stuff, though I wouldn't say they're decent >_> Just some simple stuff I found catchy at the time I made them (oh, 1-4 years ago)

Yea, i was thinkin about doing sumthin like that, but im not very good with that stuff and wouldnt really know how. I have a nice keyboard next to the computer that has a good sound card and makes the midi files sound pretty good, but i dont think i even have a mic on my comp and wouldnt really know how to go about doing that any other way.

ooh, and what do you mean when you say the bass line should move by itself? haha im tired...

they arent half bad but i think they have parts that are to long but maybe that is due to the lack of lyrics maybe if you write something for them they'll sound a lot better

yea, they are pretty repetitive due to my laziness to think of new parts haha, but i was thinking about it and if they had lyrics or sumthing, then they wouldnt be half bad.
still could be better tho.
thnx
