Sabian AAX Dark Crash

searched but couldn't find any reviews, looking for something to complement my 18" AAX Stage Crash.

Does anyone have any experience with the sabian AAX Dark Crash? I listened to the sound clip on the website, but any first hand encounters would help, thanks

Ok I have 14" and 18" so I may be the best person to help you...

I dont like the 19" it sounds like big wash.. the 18" is perfect... I was even thinking a 17"

the 14 is alot brighter than I thought and the 18 is fairly dark with alot of wash.. Love them both to bits... check out the 17" aax explosions

well, pretty much what u think of it, and whether it would be a good complement to my 18" AAX Stage Crash

i played the 18 stage crash and 18 dark crash side by side at massmusic when i bought the dark crash.

i would say, (even though i hate it) you need to try them out. the dark crash seemed to fundamentally have a higher pitch and was a bit less washy and of course darker, but not dark enough to warrant being a dark cymbal if you know what i mean.

I play a 15" AAX Dark Crash every week and it sounds great, I'm also a fan of the 15" AAX Studio Crash and the 17" AAX plosion

i have a 17" dark crash. i love it!!! use it as my main crash along with my 18" AA crash/ride. the 17" is a lovely cymbal.

I typically use the 14" as a very large splash as opposed to a crash, but that's just me, check out Vault or AAXplosion as others have suggested...

i have a 16 inch version of it and i really like it, it cuts through well. My only complaint is it marks easily and is REALLY thin, so i'm kinda afraid it will crack after a while.
