Well I could see someone using it for fun, But it isnt very conventional. I would rather have them all up front (Front side etc.)

That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. When he crashed the front then the back i was like "holy crap that is so freakin cool!"

That was awesome. The odd timed part where he was doing all the cymbal chokes was insane

That was pretty nifty.

I always wanted crashes/chinas behind me, but I can only afford so many.

Blackwell used a cymbal behind him as well, a china.

Yeah, I second InCasinoOut. That part where he was choking cymbals like mad was amazing.

I've been interested in this guy a few months back. He's actually pretty good indeed imo , and i really love his way of setting up cymbals.

Every strike is so effortless

Just try it your self. it isn't as hard as it seems with a bit of practise.

does anyone know what cymbals he's using? especially the one he keeps rideing on (the far side).

I got ink complete for christmas. some very cool songs on there, although there are a few that are just too out there for me, namely A Wild Hare

I like it a lot. Real cool chokes and such. Its labeled "school" by spastic ink on limewire...

How?

Looks perfectly fine to me, and I've had plenty experience with back problems.

That way of crashing is pointless...its just a waste of energy.

I'm new to the whole concept of having crashes behind you. It's pretty sick.

i really dont see how, he uses the rebound off of his front crashes to go to his back crashes, the occasionaly crash where he doesnt use the front doesnt waste any energy at all, thats like saying doing a double on your snare is too much effort.

i didnt count how long, but at about 30 seconds he turns the throw on his snare off, i didnt notice it, most people have to slow down to turn it on and off, he did it so fluid i didnt even notice.

20 seconds, im not even sure if he does now, certain hits sound like he had it on, certain ones sound like he had it off.

Does he really need so many crashes that he has to put some behind him? Its the sort of case where a person listening to the album isn't to going to differenciate between more than 4 crashes.

Plan B.
02-12-2006, 12:52 AM
I'm pretty sure he has developed a technique where it has become benificial to him.

Hey, if you've got nowhere to put your cymbals...
