OK i know that these guys are not emo or hardcore but i reckon alot of people here like them. If not then please close the thread. Myfavourite song would have to be the only moment we were alone. Talk about them here.

I like them. I like how they don't have to use lyrics/vocals to display emotion.

Explosions In The Sky are really awesome. I love "The Only Moment We Were Alone," I find they use instruments in that song to really build an atmosphere.

i downloaded their stuff not too long ago along with a lot of other similar post rock type stuff, but didn't spend that much time listening. i have how strange, inoocence; the earth is not a cold dead place, and those who tell the truth... which is their best?

lately i've been listening to red sparowes a lot. if you like explosions in the sky and haven't heard them, check out the song alone and unaware, the landscape transformed in front of our eyes.

Instruments do everything for EITS that vocals do for other bands and then some.

Great stuff.

I think they're kind of like GYBE only poppy, in that I can't decide which is better. Post Rock tends to annoy me though, because it's all the same. EiTS do original ****. I dig all of their records although their first one is nowhere near the latest two. The Travels in Constant is some good **** and is a neat idea.

Basically they're awesome.

EITS are amazing in studio, and live. I saw them in CA a month or so ago and was blown away. It's like a religious experience the music is so amazing. Honestly, if you get a chance, see them live.

I like them but sometimes I listen to them and become bored very quickly. I like listening to them on long evening drives (riding shotgun) when the sun is setting. It sounds pretty corny but it puts me to sleep.

Indeed. More people need to listen to that band. I read an interview where they talked about wanting to collaborate with Circle Takes The Square. That would be so awesome.

i would recommend those who tell the truth shall die, those who tell the truth shall live forever, tracks 2-5 are particularly outstanding. the earth is not a cold dead place is more mature and cohesive, but to me it just lacks the power and epic feel of those who tell the truth. how strange innocence is great too, but i think it is the weakest of their releases, they hadn't quite come into their own yet.

and nice avatar.
