tbh you'd be better listening to a band that uses Warwick since you'll get a far better quality of tone that you will from any home recording.

Early Incubus ( S.C.I.E.N.C.E) shows off a lot of warwick tone.

I think.....

It might, but FA doesn't. Just before anyone says it does.

Good call.

On the S.C.I.E.N.C.E. album, look up
Vitamin
Idiot Box
Deep Inside
Glass
Redefine

Although, i am not sure exactly what kind of bass he uses.

If we're talking Warwick, Streamer Stage II. He used some kind of white jazz bass on FA, you can see it in a photo in the book.

He's not amazing, but I happen to love his lines and what he brings to OMS.

Yep, he certainly plays for the band but in a very hyperactive way. he's kind of like a nu-metal version of Flea...not at all great but does whats needed.

of course not.

But consider two points. They had to release that album themselves, such was the lack of financial backing. They were also very young, aged between 16-18. At the time, I really doubt Alex had that kinda $$ to drop on a bass.

Also, listen. There is nothing on that album that sounds very "Warwicky".

you're possibly right. to be honest i kinda gave up on 'em after that release. Their best by so much everything else is pretty weak

"the sound of wood" That's just the neck pickup on the corvette for the really fat sounding tone. I also use it in all of the jazz songs on top of the page "alphies theme, doxy, and blue bossa. There is a solo on alphie where you can hear my tone, but it was recorded in a ****ty auditorium and my solo sucked. hope this helps.

Hey did you write that? Cause I want to learn something to play but everthing that sounds hard also sounds stupid but I really like that.

The audio is there. "Bass Solo" That's through a Marshall guitar combo. The clean and distorted demos are through my BSP, direct into the computer (it doesn't sound as warm and the distortion isn't quite as good as through an amp, but it's a pretty good idea of what I normally sound like).

Listen to Grinspoon, their bass player has a pretty straight forward Warwick tones, uses streamers and vettes.
