Hey people! I've done a re-recording of Flight of the Bumblebe with a neat backign track.

I know the recording quality sucks, I can't do much about it at the moment but give me feedback on what you can hear clearly anyways!

Thank you!

To be honest, the bass part barely sounded like the song due to the poor quality. The backing track was alright, though.

Ben, I heard you play the song through YIM a while ago, so I know you can do it. For god's sake, GET A DI CONNECTOR. Improve that quality.

I'm so lazy with this sort of thing.

What is a DI Connector? I literally know nothing about equipment.

All you need is a 1/4th to 1/8th converter. They're like 3 dollars at RadioShack.

Ohhhh!!!! Then I can plug Direct In ( I assume that's what DI is) to my computer.

We have those in college haha  I'll get one tommorow.

I agree, this will be wicked cool when it's done.

Ninja Edit: Steve, I'm so anxious to hear your song. Get on Skype and play me a tune!

I plug DI and it sounds like crap. Why is that?

Probably because your levels suck. Turn the volume on your bass way, way down. Also, depending on the program you record with, you may need to turn down the "input" volume.

What are you recording with?

Well, it's cool that you can play that fast...perhaps the dynamics don't come through because of your recording quality problems.

The background is pretty corny.

wow man, now that is good, i really didn't like you last version of it but that sounds sooooo much better. And a nice touch with the backing track. I can actually hear your technique better through that, well done man.

Hey, sweet.

My trio does the jazzier version of that. Me and piano swap parts throughout the song. Lots of fun.

i learned about the first ten seconds of it on fingerstlye, but gave up because everything afterwards started to mesh together into some technical wankfest . . . well, great job on it, you've earned my respect for arranging it in a non-boring fashion and by double thumbing it :thumb: . . .

Is this the double thumbing one?

Last one was ****-awful. I hope this is better.

You play it better than last time, but your tone is awful  Way to muddy. And i find the backing track really cheesy too, but it should be cool once you finish it.

Ben, nearly the entire forum has already critiqued you on it!

What more could you possibly want?

I was bored man.

If you thought I had more of a life than sitting at my computer eating burgers and occasionally playing bass.

Then you were wrong.
