I got limewire and my sister downloaded a bunch of crap without scanning it, but now my computer is being pretty stupid. I have a virus that wont let me open itunes, and despite how many virus removal programs i download/run, or how many times i remove and reinstall itunes, it still wont open. any suggestions? thanks

Download Hijackthis and AVG anti-virus and remove the bad stuff.

Yeah, what Rats! said. And then copy and paste the results here and eliminate what it tells you is bad. Unless you know what it is and like it/use it:

This may be just a start. And smack your sister. Not really, but you know what I mean...

Try uninstalling itunes completely, running hijack this again to clear out whatever it leaves behind, and reinstalling. Could do the trick. And run another AV scan as the last step before reinstall as well. I know it's a lot, but most of us have been there :-\.

Try scanning in Safe Mode. If you havn't.
at the first boot screen hit
F8.
Safe mode only loads the drivers needed to boot windows.
in other words
the processes of the virus's spyware trojans and such... won't load... therefor you can delete them.
Just reinstall iTunes.

Just reinstall iTunes and run a virus scanner and a spyware detector e.g. Norton and Ad-Aware. Ad-Aware is free by the way.
