Any one catch Prince's performance on SNL yesteryday? I didn't get a chance to see it, but was it any good? What did he end up playing?

Any replies would be appreciated. :)

I saw it, it was awesome, i never really listened to Prince except when doves cry, some songs from purple rain, and maybe one or two more. I want to know what song he played though. Main line was "aint no fury like a womens scorn" i think, if that helps any. He pulled off this cool solo too.

Whoa, Rhonda Smtih didn't play bass? I wonder who played for him or who's playing for him now. The song he played I believe was "Black Sweat" off of his new album that comes out in March. I think the single for that was released a few days ago. I haven't heard it yet, but I'm sure it's be good. Yea, if anyone decides to get anything by Prince, I would suggest getting his live dvds, because Prince is a lot better live than in the studio.

Im hoping Ronda just couldnt make it or something because she was phenomenal.

It was some other guy with a nice 5 string.

Yea, Rhonda is a superb player. If someone did replace her, you know it's going to be someone that's a superb player as well.

I Only saw the first performance in which I Called one of my firends and said "I told you Prince was the most underated guitarist" I then fell asleep.

There's a video goin' around of Tom Petty, Jeff Lyne, and Prince performing "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," in which Prince has like a 3 minute guitar solo. It's pretty sweet, check it out if you can find it.
