Musicman vrs Jazz?

I finnally decided to buy a new bass, and after searching the internets for a while, i decided to get either a jazz(probably an SX since I love to mod) or a musicman(OLP FTW:smoke: )

Which should I get? I love that "false" P bass tone from the MM, but I would also like to have the abillity to play pretty much every style like you can on a Jazz....

OLP MM, pleeeeezzzz, they rape the SX jazz in terms of tone, build and all round quality.

Plus the MM tone is soo sexy, almost all my basses have MM pickups

as long as you dont get the 5 string... i was gunna get one B4 i decided on my 6er... the low B is waaayyyy floppy... but tone Def go olp.

i have played the OLP and it is a very good bass. i would say that i would take it over the MM SUB

The SX Jazz is crap.I can imagine that, one of the ones I played developed several new rattles and buzzes just in the ten minutes or so I was trying it. That said, my mate's OLP is a dream to play and sounds pretty good too. As for SX, I've heard mixed reviews, but never actually tried one myself.

I'd go OLP all the way.

u know sx jazzes actually play almost like mexi jazzes....havent heard one plugged in though

ha ha, that's the question almost every bassist asks...Jazz or Stingray. It's a hard one though. I say save up and get a real one of either.
