dont scold me for asking lol but how are are the average strings on a bass?
mine are pretty far up like 1/4 of an inch is that too high?

different action for different basses, but a quarter of an inch seems pretty high, what kind of bass are you using?

depends on what you are doing playing wise, but I would hazard a guess and say yes, just a tad too high

at the 12th fret (by which i mean the metal) like 3 or 3.5 mm from metal of fret to bottom of string. About 2 mm at G. Make it go like E3, A2.7, D 2.3, G2 or something. The strings should be crowned.
