What are some good ones?

The only major ones I've heard of are Nero and CloneCD. I've tried CloneCD ages ago, and that's great for backup copies and stuff.

But right now I don't have any CD burning progs, and I've never tried Nero, although I've heard alot about it. So recommend me something, ya nerds! :p

And if it matters, I pretty much just want to burn mp3s to CDRs (in typical audio form for regular CD players), make backup data CDRs, as well as burn perfect 1-to-1 copies of some (rare) CDs for backup but I'd use CloneCD for that. It'd also be nice if I could rip audio tracks off of CDs, in very high quality, equal to that of the CD quality. 'Nother question; is the .wav format the exact same quality as it is on the CD?

I've always used Nero and it's never failed me.

Nero and Roxio are the only ones i've ever used. Both have had there occasional problems, but I think it was more computer related than software.

Cool, thanks for the response.

Did you guys, um, obtain Nero without handing over any green paper? :p

It came pre-installed on my PC, but I'm fairly certain you'll be able to find an er... 'back-up' copy of it on the internet without much difficulty.

Ah, cool. :p I will look around..

Should I download it from their site and find a crack, or find it on limewire or something?

BitTorrent would be your best bet for the most up-to-date version with cracks.

I made a thread on it here (http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=403608) if you've never used it before.

I have used Roxio from the beginning of time. I love it.

Alcohol 120 to burn ISOs, Nero to burn data/audio/video.

Nero is great for audio CD's. It's pretty much what I use when I make them. Makes 'em pretty fast with my 52x drive.
