Ok on all the shows and music videos there's at least 5 guys on stage. On their websites there is only four listed. And on top of that in the behind the scenes recording video thing there's a guy named heath who i've never seen before, and i'm pretty sure he's not the member thats missing.

Probably just a guy that tours with them to play backup guitar or something. MxPx had one of those guys at Warped.

I'm not a huge fan so I don't really know, but is it possible he plays an extra instrument?

Like another guitar on a song that was recorded with two guitars or something?

ok then. but like the guy who is on stage plays rythm guitar. He gets like no recognition on their site. They're listed as a four piece band when there are obviously five members when you listen to the songs.

Green Day currently tours with 2-3 extra guitarists to handle all the parts some American Idiot songs require.

Bands do this all the time, it's not uncommon.

They usually aren't recognized.

I know Jade's brother tours with AFI and he's like a roadie and stuff, but I'm not sure if he plays anything. I thought he might play guitar, but I'm not sure. He isn't recognized as a member of the band. Same with the MxPx guy.

The backup players are there because a song that was dubbed over with two guitars could sound empty if it's only played with one. And since there are no other people in the band that could play the other part, they need to get someone else to do it.

And sometimes, as in the case of Afi, they actually wind up in the band.

Well, Senses Fail is technically an emo band, but I'm sure Spence will take care of it.

Glad we could help.

Crap.

Crap.

Pop Crap.

But if you want less subjective answers...hard rock/nu-metal, hard rock, pop rock/alt rock.

And Senses Fail is Pop-Punk. That's all there is to it.

oh no. Sorry if it seemed that way. I just reread it. I was really asking what they were genre wise. And I really like lifehouse cuz they just have great acoustic stuff.

I've heard them already they're great too. They have much more deeper lyrics. A lot more emotional and depressing than lifehouse. I think they're great.

Ah, good good. One of the few acoustic bands I can stand bar Flamenco and Spanish/Latin guitar work.

Heath was the guitarist (?) for Midtown, and I'm pretty sure he is now officially in Senses Fail.

Dave Miller quit the band and for their tour with Saves the Day they had Heath Saraceno from Midtown replace him. Now I am not sure if Heath is officially a part of Senses Fail but I know they are recording and writing and I am guessing they need someone to fill his spot. I thought he was still in Midtown though??? I'm not sure.
