AUDIO AND PICS OF FINISHED STAVE SHELL ON SECOND PAGE NOW!!!!!
Hey guys, just thought I'd take some pics of a new setup I have sorted out. I have moved my cymbals around so that my aux hats are in front of me with my ride in a more 'normal' rightside position, my china is now straight in front of me. I like this setup, though it is a little hard to get to the bell of the ride, its manageable and I like it equally if not a little more than my old setup. I hope soon (after the stave project) to get an Eliminator Remote Hihat stand and have my main hats in front of me, to make playing a little easier. There is also a little teaser pic of my stave shell for which I am still waiting on the hardware. more pics of that when its done ENJOY and please comment

The DW9000 ones even worse before we go down that road :p

Just leave your x-hats there and keep your main ones where they are. I just realised, i had my x-hats in the same area once. Copy cat had a rat underneath his sunday hat. Im done :upset:

I'm still gonna look into it, I really like playing open handed like that. What are any other Remote hat stands?
I'm not sure if i understand your pic properly phil. any chance of one which just shows the remote stand and nothing else? Thanks man

Though there are now no snares on it i have some pics of the progress and of the finished item. It sounded awesome for a while and then the strings holding the snare wires broke and now it wont get a good sound, I'm buying some new snares on monday and I hope that will make it sound better.

And boy do i know it, sounded amazing aswell, I didnt seem to be able to get quite enough tension on though, then i jus went all out an i think that ruined them, the wires are ok to look at but they have gotten flatter instead of being like an over stretched spring

Its because the tom arm is a piece of crap. Eventually, I'll replace them both with something a bit stronger. The poition isn't so bad to play though :D

Guys, I have great news. My dad went out today while I was at school and got me some wires, it turns out that the wires we had were actually for a 12" snare so we hadnt broken them . He got me some 12 strand 13" giralters and my snare now sounds absoloutly amazing. A very high POP sound with an earsplitting rimshot, I am soo happy
