I'd suggest right-clicking and downloading. It doesn't stream very well. The song is pretty good, but I suppose you could call my playing sloppy in some spots. The way it was recorded made it difficult for me to hear, and the guitarist didn't want to play with a click. It's only two of us.

ok, here's what i think. it sounds like you're a competent enough drummer to handle this song, but i think you're overplaying a bit at times. if it were me, i'd probably do some kind of basic closed hi-hat thing during the verse rather than the somewhat complex ride/tom thing you're doing. and the doubles on the bass are cool, but tiresome after a while. i also don't care for that clangy sounding thing. is that the bell of one of your cymbals? it sounds harsh to me.

I think you are trying to play something unique and identifiable but you are playing over everything else including the vocals. For a song like that I would say just play a simple beat, boring I know but simplicity can be a drummers best friend.

I think it sounds good but at times the drums overpower the vocals, I think your band is really good

lol... I hate the guitar's tone. It sucks.
I don't think you are overplaying that much, but I do believe that it sounds that way due to the mix. Your volume is much louder than it should be.

I think it needs to be slowed down just a tiny tad. It'd make it flow nicer and give it a better sound in my opinion. I don't particularly like the guitar tone either... It needs to be warmer. Or acoustic. In the very beginning it was fine then it just sounded... off.

Agreeing with others, take down the fanciness just a tad - at least at one or two parts. Also, take away the clanging for a while. Other than that, it's good, I liked it.

Its not bad, I find the guitar smooth, I actually liked the tone. Your band is very unique. Your playing is too complicated, I understand you wanna be heard, but if someones sees you play just a solid, simple beat, with a nice bass beat under it(btw dont use doubles so much, its a nice touch in the right spots) Just something to flow nicely with the band

First off, thanks a lot for the info and comments! Just to clarify, it's only the two of us in the band. I am used to playing this particular song live, where I tend to play out a little more. I think you're right though-- it's too much. The bell is the annoying "clang" which some of you are talking about. I hit the bell with the shaft of my stick usually, but for some reason on the recording it is WAY too loud and cutting through, opposed to a nice addition. I appreciate all the comments and suggestions!

I think I'll try and play down more.

I dissagree with above mentioned... I think its sounds great. The Mix could be a little better- but you already know this. Your playing Is actually quite good. Best I've heard on here. I wouldnt change a thing- especially if thats the way y'all intended for the song too be. yes your drums are busy- however I think they fit the some too a tee.

i think that you shouold just stick with a simple hat snare bass groove rather than what youre doing, it makes me feel sick, but nice drumming, best ive heard on here.

I don't think you overplayed, I think the mix just plays you too loud
