I've got a dual layer burner. I've been using DVD Decryptor and it's been working fine.

However, I tried ripping Corpse Bride. It ripped it fine, but when I tried to burn it. It's been hanging at 51%. I tried ripping from Alcohol 120, DVD Shrink, and CloneCD.

The only one that came closest was DVD Shrink. It managed to rip everything (including all the extras) but the last half of the movie.

Now what are the best combinations of programs to successfully burn ripped DVDs?

Also, I'd prefer if they were freeware, but I wouldn't mind buying a program if it worked absolutely.

I have DVDFab Platinum and it has ripped every DVD I have ever tried and I have about 300 in my collection here. I used to subscribe to a DVD rental service and copy the DVDs before I sent them back. DVDFab isn't free but I'm sure you will be able to 'acquire' a copy somehow.

I wouldn't mind buying a program if I couldn't find a good freeware version.

This DVDFab Platinum sounds really good. And how about burning them? No coasters?

DVD Decrypter to rip the vobs, Nero Recode to reencode.I should try that combo.

I'll do that tomorrow when I get Corpse Bride back from a friend that's borrowing the movie.
