F.E.A.R. should run on your system and I definitely recommend that. Half-Life 2 is also another must have along with Far Cry. For something different you could try Vampire the Maquerade: Bloodlines, it's a first person RPG so I don't know if you would consider that. The FPS games that I have recommended should keep you entertain for a while.

Is Timesplitters 2 out for PC? Old game but my favourite FPS ever.

what is far cry about? is it it FPS fantasy, war, futuristic?

edit: is there a "choose optimal settings" option in FEAR? if not, what settings would be good (resolution, effects)

Yeah i think fear does, you'd prob be able to run it medium+ but trust me i've tried all the settings out and it looks awsome and takes nothing away from the game, and the multiplayer is awsome, completely crazy and highly intense.

Farcry, chap gets strandard on island, fights against an army etc.... it's good, kinda modernday, ah i think i'd describe it a bit like an arnie film in game form, it's good, great graphics, last time i played multiplayer was good.

how old is farcry?

I'm guessing a year+ i picked it up ages ago for a £5, but it's still good, plus will be cheap.

XIII

A VERY underated FPS, I have it for gamecube, its a very fun game. A lot of people never wanted the try it because of the little comic pop ups, but its cool when your playing cause its shows the knife or whatever going into them.

Its cheap for computer too since its been out a while, maybe $10.00. Fun game. Or for X-box/ps2 for like $6.

XIII is a good game. I have it for the Xbox. It shouldn't be overlooked for one of your choices.

Day of Defeat: Source is pretty good for multiplayer, now that they're getting more maps.

day of defeat doesnt look too good for me cuz i dont like capture the flag-style games. they get boring after a while. just like battlefield 1942
