ok i thought to my knowledge anyway and that isnt very much about randy rhodes but i know alot about the beatles but i've gotten off track, ok to my knowledge Randy only played a polka dotted Gibson "V" and a cream Gibson Les Paul but then why did Jackson make a Randy Rhodes edition guitar?

He had that custom designed after Blizzard of Oz was released.

He had a Jackson too. In fact, I'm pretty sure most of the recordings on Blizzard were with a Jackson.

I checked the inlays of both Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman. None of them have information on what guitar Rhoads used during recording, but I'd think it was pretty obvious he played Jackson guitars if they made a sig series for him.

If I recall rightly, Dave Mustaine used to play with a modified Randy Rhoads "V".

I don't especially like the Randy Rhodes V, too pointy. I think the cream-white normal Jackson Flying V is awesome, the kind Jack Black has in School Of Rock (not the '78 Gibson SG, the other one :p )

Randy went to Charvel the hot custom shop for guitars of the day in 1981 and he started working on a custom guitar. During this process Charvel started Jackson and The Randy Rhoads V was the first guitar released with the Jackson name on it. Randy sadly never lived to see mass production of his guitars. And a correction it was in fact not a Gibson Flying V as I hear commonly mistaken for. Randy built the guitar somewhat in correspondence with Charvel although it did copy Gibson Randy mad the guitar himself.
