Is it true they are making a new album, if it is, is it also true it be like the older albums and not like the new 1?
any news would be great
They seem to make an album a year, so yeah they are probably making one. Actually I think I read something with Zakk saying he was writing material now. I hope it's like the older stuff, the new one was pretty boring.

I guess the old ozzy thread is gone or something...
anyhoo.
I love zakk's playing but I noticed that he ripped off Jake E Lee riffs many times on No Rest... and No More Tears. (Zakk's still a much better guitarist imo)

I hope the next bls cd is more like their old stuff mafia was a good cd but dissapointing since it came from bls. In this river is one of his best songs though

If he didn't he should, there is nothing more pathetic then an aging rockstar trying to perform when he doesn't know the lyrics and can't stop shaking.

I love Ozzy's music, but his age and the affects of drug abuse has taken its toll on his talent. Its ashame, but he shoudl retire.How can you perform if you cant remember the songs.
I hope BLS are making a new album. Mafia was pretty good, but nothing beats 1919 Eternal.
BLS are always making a new album. Its never anything but mediocre, but they are. So yes, TS.
I thought Ozzy called it quits after this last Ozzfest.nah, new album and tour coming this year. He was searching for a new guitarist, but then called it off and is just going to use Zakk.
I hope BLS are making a new album. Mafia was pretty good, but nothing beats 1919 Eternal.yeah, that's my favorite too. Demise of Sanity is such a good song..

If you want to pick up an album I would get '1919 Eternal' or 'The Blessed Hellride'. If you just want to download a few songs then I would reccomend:

I saw BLS on their Mafia tour last year in London and was blown away - they were fooking excellent. Helped that I had backstage VIP passes too mind and bumped into Zakk backstage :D
New album is due out sometime this year and a European tour has been announced for Late Spring/Early Summer - but no dates of venues mentioned... although that probably means we'll expect an album out Mid Spring.
However I'm still waiting for the newest Live DVD that they filmed at the Astoria where I was :(

Thats cool. Why would he look for a new guitarist when he has Zakk. Sure there are better guitarists, but they just seem to work so well together.

My favourite album is Hangover Music (vol 4 is it?). Mafia is fantastic as well.

Zakk still loves playing for Ozzy though, I'm sure he would play for him anytime in any place if asked.

yeah i know wat you mean man. its a brilliant album but there are a few songs on there that sound a bit too much like filler. its probably not the best album they've done but it still rocks. i kinda prefer sonic brew or blessed hellride. all kick *** albums!
Sonic Brew is amazing, but 1919 Eternal is my favorite. Mainly because the tracks mostly fill up the live DVD which is amazing.

But yes it is a good album.

Zakk is like the master of pentatonics. I know he can sweep and tap and even shred for that matter but he said on a video (after showing he can sweep and tap) that he just doesn't want to because it's other people's sig. stuff.
Suffering Overdue is my favorite solo though

Yeah, he also is in love with pinch harmonics, I think he overuses them.

I love Zakk Wylde but one thing I hate is he isn't playing to his best ability

yeah some of the acoustic stuff is brilliant. he's actually a pretty good piano player. some of the best would have to be dead meadows, spoke in the wheel or dirt on the grave(even though it has some electric guitar in it).

Ah man, Blacken Waters is another one of my favorite electric solos by Zakk. My favorite being Suffering Overdue.

I love Zakk's playing, I think he's probably the best guitarist in metal. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of BLS though. I find a lot of it boring and derivative. When he's playing with Ozzy, he can make some of ozzy's bad songs listenable, but he can't with his own, imo.
I also like his acoustic stuff but In this River kinda sucked. And destroying that piano in the video was just lame.
I think he should hook up with someone else, like Jerry Cantrell for example. someone who can write about more than death and getting drunk.

hope i didn't offend anyone, i was just disappointed with mafia.I hear you, I think the whole best guitaist in metal thing was over-stepping the mark a little, but other than that I agree. Zakk and Jerry playin together would be a dream come true. Also as far as guitar playing goes his solos with Ozzy are so much better, he uses a much better range of techniques and tends to work on them a lot harder. I still prefer BLS to Ozzy though.
