Has anyone seen them live if you have what are they like?

Uh... I appreciate your enthusiasm, but two things.
First off, I can't understand what you're typing. It looks like you're drunk. Could you please clean that up?
Second, you should probably go into a little more detail about the band if you want more people to participate in this thread.

It's possible he's from a foreign country.

I'll concede that's possible. But if this is the case and he needs help with his English, he can just ask.
EDIT: Apparently, he's from the UK. If you live in a predominantly English-speaking country, you should be at least moderately articulate in the language. Kind of hard to avoid.

I love this band. I saw them with Between The Buried And Me, Cephalic Carnage, and Into the Moat last year. They were awesome and put on an amazing show. I'm going to see them again in March with Agony Scene/Throwdown/Red Chord. I really don't like those other bands, but BDM's live show is incredible. Definitely worth seeing live.
I love Unhallowed. Probly one of my favorite albums of all time. Im not that big on Miasma. I find it didn't have as many metal elements as Unhallowed and seemed more generic sounding IMO. There demo cd "What a horrible night to have a curse" wasnt too bad either. They are a great live band. I saw them when they were opening up for Cannibal Corpse a few years ago before they were known and they played through all of Unhallowed flawlessly. They even played there whole set in the middle of the pit. It was great.

Oh man, I ****in love this band. My entire band is really into them. I like Unhallowed better, but Miasma still kicks ***.
They were sick live, I saw them with Unearth(alright) and Remembering Never(eh). and like Katana said, sounds just like the cd. If you like them, listen to Through the Eyes of the Dead and Suicide Silence.

Anyone know the tuning it's meant to be in? What TBDM plays in?
I'm playing it in Drop D (DADGBE)
It sounds pretty good.
Black Dahlia tuned to C#F#BEG#C# for Unhallowed. I don't know about Miasma though

k.. Open C, I guess.
It sounds good in Drop D.
I can't really switch tunings for every song though. I have to adapt some stuff slighty....
If I did... I'd like tuning to D standard.. to play Bodom... Standard to play Opeth... E flat to play Slayer.... etc..

CGCF on bass, that's all I know.
TDBM is a good band, I suppose. They have a somewhat different sound, considering that their music could definitely be classified under Death Metal.
I prefer their more melodic material to the brutal, my favorites being Dave Goes to Hollywood and Elder Misanthropy.

one complaint about 'em they gallop to much and songs are too short. Miasma seemed rushed.

hell yeah, BDM is my favorite band. Oh and unhallowed is played in drop C, not C#.. same thing with miasma. their songs are so fun to play. i can play closed casket requiem, funeral thirst, cantagion, elder misanthropy, unhallowed, and the beggining of a vulgar picture.
i think unhallowed is better than miasma. miasma felt kinda rushed. the voice and guitar on unhallowed is way better too. they both still are good albums.
and yeah, between the buried and me, through the eyes of the dead, dying fetus, Job for a Cowboy(check them out on myspace), sound like them a little.

I play in a ****ing metalcore (and yes, I know what actual metalcore is, http://www.purevolume.com/theheartless) and I've met like 40 billion scene kids, and very few of them are actually depressed, they are mostly just fun-loving energetic guys/girls.

I love the black dahlia murder, actually, I'm wearing their shirt AND listening to them right now ironicly. I'm in love with Miasma, Unhollowed is pretty sweet too, it gets kind of monotonus however. The older ep's are good as well. I saw them live at last years Ozzfest, they put on a good show, very energetic. Their singer I believe is an English professor, that's why their lyrics are so well crafted. I'm going to be seeing them with Throwdown, The Agony Scene, and The Red Chord in March, a day after Shadows Fall and Still Remains. I'm going to be so sore that week.

Well it's literally impossible to hit the notes needed to play the song correctly in drop d, seeing as it was recorded in C standard and uses a lot of low notes that can't be reached in drop d. Check out www.metaltabs.com, they have the proper tab for it :thumb:
I think unhallowed was done in drop c, but I'm not sure. It makes sense to play it in that tuning, everything works, but It looks like they're playing in C standard in the videos.
TBDM are my favourite band, I should be seeing them tonight, but unfortunately I can't make it which has pissed me right off. I can't believe how many people prefer unhallowed over miasma, I really can't see any aspect of it thats better than the latest album, although i love them both. On miasma the guitars and drums are tighter, more complex and less generic, and the guitar solos are a lot better. Trevors voice has improved ten fold compared to unhallowed, and the tone is undeniably better than before.
Speaking of tone, both albums were recorded with mesa triple rectifiers, they didn't start using kranks til a couple of tours after miasma came out.
I spent saturday morning working out miscarriage, so maybe i'll get around to writing it out sooner or later. great fun to play.

Saw them last night, absolutely amazing.
I met Trevor before they played, he chatted with me, asked my name, introduced himself etc. I got a picture of me and him :)
Their set was class and spot on, afterwards i met all of them, chatted to the guitarists and Trevor again and got my pic taken with all of them.
I got a setlist which was awesome, then they all signed it too :D
Me and Trevor did some shots at the bar, then the other guys came over and I hung out a bit. John said I was wearing an awesome tshirt
They needed a floor to crash on and they asked if there was anywhere they could say, when i got the guts to offer my kitchen floor, theyd already got a place to stay.
I got Brians earplugs and i also met and chatted with the support, Deadsoil.
The singer said I look like Burton C. Bell. He was an awesome guy, good guy to talk to.
Then they all had to leave and I went home.
