Totally ****ing sweet band. I don't know much about them but I am sure that I can be informed.

I would post some mp3's but my computer crashed a couple weeks ago and I lost all my files so here is the best I can get, a live video: http://www.youtube.com/w/Love-Lost-But-Not-Forgotten?v=SrbjBm_2bGs&search=screamo

Talk about this wonderful band.

My favorite screamo band of all time. They are absolutely mindblowing. The dual vocals are incredible, especially the way the dude's voice cracks and the guitars shred. "Means To No End" got me into them and remains my favorite song.

Yeah, I saw. But Love Lost But Not Forgotten absolutely destroys SDRP. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

Wow
01-31-2006, 07:09 PM
Mhmm. I just LOVE the clean guitar with screaming over it thing. That's why I dig SDRP. I know they're a bad band but they're one of the few I know of who do that constantly.

I won.
SDRP has the most generic sound I have heard in a while, they have terrible guitars, the bass is inaudible and when it is there is nothing good about it, and the vocals sound like a bad metalcore band. That is why I don't like them. But you know what if you like them that is cool.

You can say all those things about LLBNF except the vocals sound like a hyena who's being savagely beaten to death by Thor.

Different strokes for different folks. I think we both realize that Midwest is superior in style to both bands, no?

k1ckthecat

Skramz? WTF does that mean?
it's an attempt to abolish the term "screamo" (due to people getting Senses Fail etc. confused with real screamo) and replace it with a new genre name. skramz is probably the worst idea for that term that could ever be thought up tho. luckily this name hasn't stuck.

deadohiosky9

I'm just asking. I have no problem with the term screamo, it is afterall, just the name of a genre of music.

Wow

Don't say that. You'll upset Neeshee and I.

deadohiosky9

Screamo isn't a separate genre from emotional hardcore...it is not a genre. it doesn't exist.

Hahaha, coming from the kids who try to see how many times they can drop the term "mid west emo" in one sentence.

Wow
02-01-2006, 09:02 PM
Considering apart from the flooding the boards with Midwest bands a few days ago, I never talk about it, I am going to say that your previous statement is false.

cbmartinez
02-01-2006, 09:04 PM
Whatever, both screamo and "mid west emo" are just terms for further classification of the bands, whether they're their own genre or not. kwl.

deadohiosky9
02-01-2006, 09:14 PM
Midwest refers to an influx of bands coming from the midwest area with a specific and similar sound. Screamo refers to chaotic and fast bands, when they don't need to be re-classified. they are emotional hardcore bands, "screamo" is not necessary. Most emo bands, disregarding the Indian Summer-esque emo bands, have completely different sounds. We don't make a new genre for each different sounding band. That's just ridiculous.

Whatever, I suppose some people find it more convinient to place Love Lost But Not Forgotten in a seperate category than Indian Summer who sound nothing like each other.
