Not bad, though the horns look similar to a peavey Cirrus.... the wood grain is nice IMO...

has it been glossed
it may be the pictures but it seems dull - it needs a natural gloss oil over it:thumb:

I wouldn't count on that at all. Most businesses are very, very picky about the products that they put on slicks. Compare your big mac to the one on the menu next time your at McD's.

I like the body shape of it. I'd prefer a different top-wood though, or maybe a transparent red finish.

I have a Brice. I like it... Nothing but compliments. I'm not sure if it's because it looks sweet or if it's because it has six strings.

I just bought a Yamaha Air Cell strap for it yesterday off line. Thanks Gav (I think) for recommending it a couple weeks ago... My shoulder will appreciate it, I hope.

Edit: BTW, I like that bass. I'd like it more if it had a gloss finish and a neck-thru design. I love my neck on my Brice.

It's alright but I'm not a fan of six strings anyway so what do I know.

Something doesn't look right. I don't know what it is, but something.

If they had more of a contour on the lower horn and a better finish, I'd be buying that. Still, it looks nice.

Save for the very bottom, it's not carved at all. It's just a slab of wood.

That's what I think is off, anyways.

That's right. You did recommend it. Gav just agreed with me when I thought the strap was upside down, which it was. :thumb:

Hopefully it's up to my expectations... I hope to find real musicians soon and start playing. Right now I'm playing with people who aren't serious at all... what a waste of talent, IMO.

The maple neck protruding through to the pickup is what seems off to me.

I wonder how I can contact Brice. I'd love to see what a 7-string would be like.

I'm still considering trying a Galveston 8...

Good God no!

And as for that Brice, it looks nice, but its 35", so thats that out of the window.

Have you ever played it?

Yeah, it's got pretty good reviews (http://www.harmony-central.com/Bass/Data4/Galveston/8_String__Unpaired_-1.html) from what I've read.

Also, I take it you don't play long scale basses?

I hate 6ers, but I make an exception for this one. I like... not enough to buy one, though.

That strap is awesome. Really. I used to have a Dunlop DD40 on my SX 5er and it hurt my shoulder/upper back majorly, but I switched to the Air Cell strap and it feels practically weightless now (it feels like it weighs less than my GSR200). The only downside to those straps is that if you're overweight (like myself), it's a bit high. It took me awhile to get used to having my bass 5 inches higher than normal.

ha..i got lucky when i went to rondo music, and they had an old 34" scale hxb sixer that was a floor model for $100 cheaper. so i got more than i wanted for less money.
