Rockets and Blue Lights (Close at Hand)

I've talked about this band a few times with the hope of discussing them in the community thread but no one knows them so I'm making a thread.


Rockets and Blue Lights are one of the best Midwest (Some don't consider them midwest 'cause they came along years after the style had died out) style bands to ever exist. They usually have a really mellow and laid back kind of sound but some parts can get really emotional and intense. They released two records that I know of; a demo and a 10" entitled Smashed City. They have an mp3 or two on redderrecords.com. Check them out and discuss their greatness so it won't just be Neeshee, Ben and I talking about them.

yeah this band rules. I like the demo more than the 10" though. Now This Year just owns all.

I like the demo more too. I like "What They Made You Mean" just a tiny bit more than "Now This Year." Both incredible songs, though.

I can't decide which I like better out of the demo and the 10". I have heard the 10" all the way through but I havn't heard the demo all the way but it's really good.
