Can anybody give me tips of what each control does? mine has Frequency, Bandwidth, High, Low, and Gain. How can i set this up?

Don't post that smiley sh*t.

High = Treble
Low = Bass
Gain = amplification of input signal
Frequency = Usually this is related to Mids. It basically changes the frequency of your mids. Just like a wah pedal. You lean on a wah pedal slightly, it sounds really deep. This is the low frequency. If you lean on it fully, the sound is really quite trebley. This is high frequency. The frequency control changes what frequency your mids have.
Bandwidth = read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bandwidth

Sounds like it's only semi-parametric - by the sound of it the control for the mid frequencies are parametric, and the others aren't.

If that's the case, the treble and bass will work like any other EQ. For the mids, Frequency controls which frequency is boosted, Gain controls how much it's boosted (or cut) by, and Bandwidth controls how wide the boost is - with a really narrow bandwidth it'll boost pretty much just that exact frequency. Widen it, and it'll boost others on either side of that frequency too.
