Ive been getting into the band Pentagram lately and Ive been downloading a few of their songs I have about 5 now but I noticed that Drive Me To The Grave has a different style of vocals. I did some research and found that the same vocalist has been in the band the whole time. So did they get a guest singer for this song or is it the usual singer trying something completlty different? And is the whole Sub-Basement album like this?

You can count to five, you say? Very well - that's how long your ban will be.

Has no-one heard of Pentagram? Theyve been around since the 70's.

Pentagram are an early doom band. They came out not long after Black Sabbath, playing dreary dirge-like metal. They spent most of their early careers circulating demos, singles, and bootlegs. Their debut album didn't even come about until 1985.

From bnrmetal.com:
Pentagram
Origin: Woodbridge, VA, USA
Genres: Doom Metal
Status: Active
Last Update: July 24, 2004
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A hallowed name in the field of Sabbath-inspired doom metal, Pentagram's history dates as far back as 1972, when their first single was released. Though their first official release didn't appear until 1985, an earlier lineup recorded some impressive works in the early to mid seventies, and have recently seen the light of day in the form of two compilations, these being '98's Human Hurricane and then 2001's First Daze Here release, which really showcases these early tracks at their best. The foundation of Pentagram has always been vocalist Bobby Liebling, who rivals Wino Weinrich (Spirit Caravan) for most hallowed doom metal personality, thanks to his tailor-made-for-doom voice. One has to wonder how much longer Liebling can keep going (after all, he's been the core of Pentagram for over thirty years, a remarkable achievement in itself), but as of this time there is no sign of them giving up. Moreover, the recent releases such as Sub-Basement compare quite favorably with the older material -- really, Pentagram has yet to release a sub-par album.
Liebling has recently assembled a veritable doom all-star lineup for their newest album, Show 'Em How, released in 2004.
Note: no relation to the Turkish metal band called Pentagram.

Yep thats the ones. I know there called Doom Metal but there 70's stuff didn't sound much like metal at all(I think, I only have one 70's song).

Well this thread highlights the lack of quality in R&M quite nicely.
Pentagram are a legendary band with a discography packed full of classics. Sub-Basement is good but I prefer Be Forewarned out of the newer Pentagram stuff
