does anyone know if the snare throwoff is different for the CX models now than the older versions?

i'm not sure about the snare...but recently i bought a DW drop clutch thinking that if i had a PDP kit (DW 'generic') then it should obviously fit...and the guy at the drum shop tended to think along those lines aswell... got home tried it on...and it didnt fit..funny thing is that it managed to fit the newer model PDP's...but mine being the FS series..it didnt fit...so it could be possible that they have changed something.
