Microphone-Usb adapter?

Is there such a thing as an adapter so that a normal microphone can be used to record onto a computer? I've check around on a few sites but havent really found anything. Thanks.

no because you wouldn't be able to use the same drivers for different mics and you can't just convert analouge signals into digital on a whim. There are however microphones you can buy that do not have XLR outs instead they go directly usb. They are useful in a pinch, but the quality will only go to a certain extent.

i think you can go from big mic cord to the little one on the computer though..

yeah you cna and i bought that adaptor the other night onlnie while buying some other stuff, will the quality be decent doing that?
