Has anyone used these? I'm thinking of getting some as I've been really out of practice lately... I used to rent a place where I could play my drums with no noise problems. However, I've had to move from there and am now about to move into a new place where noise will be an issue... I need to reduce the noise levels to keep the neighbours happy. Do these QT pads do the trick? How do they feel to play? At the moment I can only practice once a week when I take my kit out to our band practice venue.

Yeah theyre great, I only have them for the toms and the snare and theyre great for practicing fills, I heard the bass pad sucks but.
Theyre not too quiet, yet theyre not too loud, theyre just right for practice.

I bought some, and they're awesome. It's not too much louder than someone talking.

Great! I was also looking at the Sound Off Pads... they are a little cheaper. How do they compare to the QT pads? Are they just as good or is it better to pay a bit more?

try the percussion plus heads that are made out of a wire screen mesh and work great. they give you the same feel of a regular head.
i looked for the site and found nothing on them but i have 2-14",
10", 12", 13" 16" and a 22" for sale they are in good con. i just don't need them anymore. send me a email or IM and i'll get some pics for you with them on my set.

The QT pads are allright.
What i tend to do is pad all the drums and play with a stick and a hot rod, because i dunno what sort of damage the cymbal pads are doing to my cymbals by not allowing them to vibrate properly. plus they sound better with a hotrod than they do with the crappy clang with the pad on.
The bass drum pad can be a pain in the ***, i cant heel/toe properly with it on, but its better than having my kit being taken by the law ninjas at the Council.

Ok, a set of these just arrived in the mail. Problem: No set up instructions. How do you attatch the bass drum pad? Got 2 of these weird elastic band things with it but I can't figure it out.

Mine didn't come with elastic bands haha, it just goes inside the hoop. I have the Vic Firth set by the way.

Yeah i searched the forums rather than start a new topic for something so small.
Mate, if you can find a pic that would be great. I can't see how they'd fit the lugs tbh.
