Mice?

My dad brought up an interesting point today: I leave my cords outside in my garage and I lock it to prevent my hardware from getting stolen. But my dad said that mice could chew the cables. I pointed out that theres no mouse bites on our extension cords, but I figured it was worth an ask anyway. Does anybody know anything about this?

just buy a big tupperware container and put them in that when not in use to be on the safe side.

Get a huge piece of meat, put it in a cage, and set a trap for the door.

oh wait thats for tigers. Well if you ever find tiger bites in the cables, theres your solution.
