Hey dudes I'm just looking for some cool acoustic songs to play all the way through, maybe even to sing to....:naughty:

Lately I've been playing heapsa Jack Johnson and that stuff's cool as, like the intro to Taylor sounds mint, but those songs get boring cause in the end you're only playing like 4 chords....

So anyone got any cool suggestions? And no Stairway please...DENIED!:smash:

Wayne's world, party time Garth, excellent!:chug:

depends, what kind of songs are you looking for, like slower or sad or happy or faster or what?

eric clapton - tears in heaven is some pretty easy fingerpicking
dashboard confessional makes some decent acoustic songs if you're into the emo thing :P
also check out some of john frusciante's (guitarist for the red hot chili peppers) solo stuff, he writes some really cool acoustic songs (some of my favorites are on curtains, his last solo album i believe, maybe not)

How about Angie, by the Rolling Stones? I always liked that song. And the main song from Me, Myself, & Irene, "The World Ain't Slowin' Down," by (I'm pretty sure this is his name) Ellis Paul, that song is pretty easy to play and has a nice tune to it. And you gotta love "Baby I Love Your Way," by Peter Frampton.

Pink Floyd - Wish You were Here, one of the greatest acoustic songs ever (and not hard at all).

Wish You Were Here. Maybe Nothing Else Matters too, that's pretty easy to play and the vocals are easy.

A lot of Hendrix songs sound good on acoustic. Little Wing for example (<3 that song). If you don't have access to higher frets, you can bring the solo down an octave or just create your own solo for it. He also recorded the song "Angel" on acoustic. There's another song of his that would sound pretty good on acoustic, I forget the name. I'll go dig it up.

The other song I was thinking of was "Hey Baby", another cool Hendrix tune.

[edit #2]
Dream Theater - Hollow Years. Petrucci just plays it clean on his electric, but it would sound cool on acoustic, too I'm guessing :)

Hear my train a coming- Jimi, sounds better on 12 string, and pretty easy.
Anyways, Blackbird by the Beatles is a good choice, so is a couple Floyd tunes.

Wild Thing is cool too.

Blackbird by the beatles is probably my favorite acoustic song to play. I highly recommend it if you don't already know it.
