vocal amp/PA

so my band has been running a mic into a mixer, into some sort of guitar amp to do vocals with, and this doesn't work that well. it seems to not get loud enough before it feedbacks, and its just a hassle to set up. I was looking around, and I saw this: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Keyboards/Midi/Amps/Accessories?sku=701761 . it seems like it would be a good buy, but the reviews are kinda mixed. Is there anything like this that would get the job done instead of having to buy a pa system and stuff? I just want something to practice with the band, and do small gigs with, at places that don't have PA's. other then that, any tips on getting rid of feedback? I cut out all of the "bad" frequencies as best I could, the only thing was it was running out of a 30w marshall guitar amp, with a 10" speaker. it wasn't loud enough, but there was still room to go on the mixer, my concern is that I don't want to have this same problem when we get some form of vocal amp/pa.

what do you need 2 speakers for? i could always get another cab if required. I'm not really looking at it to gig with anyway, the only places we would "gig" with it is like, really small places that don't have their own PAs. We just need something to practice with really

I'm not sure if you would still get feedback with using that as your speaker or not, I would think you would.
You could always buy a cheap power amp

and some cheap pa speakers ( you could look for smaller one's than these)
