Bowling For Soup's cover of Summer Of 69 is a fun one that my band have done at practices, it's great fun. A really upbeat and fun song.
We've also covered Carousel, Man Overboard and Whats My Age Again by Blink properly, plus random playing of some songs like American Idiot, Basket Case and Stupid Kid (by Alk3).

I LOVE playing Always by Blink, Its not the most challenging song ever, its just nice to play.
On the other hand, I hate playing I Miss You, and Adams Song. So dull and repetitive.

Old garage rock classics like "Surfin' Bird", "Wild Thing" and "Louie Louie" are awesome because everyone knows them, and they're so godamned easy you can mess around with fills and solos and things without any danger of f'ucking it up.

We tried to do 'Seven Nation Army' but it was way too hard.
RIP Ian Curtis

7 Nation Army is easy as man, my band do it double time to f'uck with the teenyboppers. It's awesome to see it in action. Start of with that little riff on bass, all the morons, metrosexuals and whores get on their feet, finished the intro, four hits on the snare and BANG, double time bitches. Man it's funny seeinf them try to keep dancing.

Everyone knows Blink. I do vocals for a screamo band, but when we're bored at practice, we cover Blink. It's fun to play and is pretty simple, and everyone knows it, so, if Blink 182 is done properly, it can be a great cover. :D

I always have fun covering Black flag. Even if theyre not pop punk. If your gonna cover them, don't do Rise Above or Fix Me or something like that. Do a less known song.

My favourite is Dammit, by blink. It's stupidly easy, and I get to show everyone I can't sing!
Plus, it bores the **** outta our bassist, and I enjoy pissing him off.

My band played a party once (old band) and between one song we did a hardcore version of Dammit by Blink...complete with a breakdown. Kids were moshing. It was great. :D

^ I still like Blink...my computer playlist is all messed up. You'll hear hardcore like Casey Jones, Killing the Dream, Give Up the Ghost, then screamo like City of Caterpillar, Usurp Synapse, then mathcore like The Number 12 Looks Like You, and then Blink 182 and New Found Glory and stuff. :D
I wouldn't have it any other way.
But yeah, 13 year old mosh pits are fun.

And I wrote this sick acoustic cover of Somewhere Over The Rainbow last night. I need to see if I can record that sh*t and then post a link.

A local band from here covered that and it was amazing. Immagine a whole venue (only like 75 kids, but still) singing that break down at the top of their lungs. *orgasm*
