Im seriously considering getting this kit, it looks nice and ive read good things about it but I never go on 1 persons opinion. I like at least 5 or 10 so whats the overall opinion?

They look sweet and with 100% maple for £400 apparently its a great price

Looks like a really cool kit, I wonder if it sounds good? I would be changing that front bass head, the peace thing is not cool... Thats what I think.

I read a review, the only downfall was that its not a big name in drums. Thats why it got 3/5 bizzarely

Seems like even the ratings system is screwed up in this world.

I play a Peace and love it. Everytime I go to guitar center they'll ask me what I play and I say "A Peace" and their like "No shame, but what do you play?" as if I'm saying it's a piece...

I've played a peace. All i remember was that it had the deepest sounding bass drum i;ve ever heard.

Im probably gonna get it, it means I can afford decent cymbals and not solars

Ill probably get B8s, ZBTs or some Stagg DHs

Get the DNA and save for decent cymbals, keep your solars til you have money for some AAX or something

That's the Paragon Stage 2 kit in the picture. It is a great kit, with the 10/12/14/22 drums and the 6.5 snare. Good pro hardware. Similar to the DNA kit, but the DNA kit has a 5.5 snare, mini lugs instead of the cool Deus Paragon lugs and the different bass drum tom mounts. Switch the factory single ply heads for sure, though. You can add matching Octabons too!!

The Peace name is one of the newer companies, even though it has been around for more than 25 years. Only been up here in Canada for two years now, but lots of guys are getting turned on to the kits. The sparkle finish like the silver one in the picture is actually hand sprayed lacquer, not a wrap. Same for the DNA kits.

Here's the Canadian site:

I have never played a Peace Drumset personally, but I have only heard good things about them. Don't get B8's or ZBT's though... save up and get high-end cymbals. Look into Zildjian A's and Sabian AAX Stage's.

Even the DNAs?

All the talk is about the Paragon series.

Paragons are the stand outs

With the Paragons, I get the feeling that, with that £800 or whatever could be spent on a kit that is a lot better. E.g. PDP LX

nah, the paragons are, imo, equal to if not better than the pdp. But i would go for the dna and some b8's from adc drums to get you started.

I have the stage two paragon and its great, I say get that myself and save for cymbals in the future. The bass sounds like a connon and the snare is bloody good too (although i am replacing mine)
