what scales and stuff and relevant chords should i use to write a terniray form piece on guitar with saxophone in middle for music never done composing before

Music GCSE, huh? Pick whatever scale you want as long as you are confident with it, and pick chords to fit. You may want to change key in the middle, perhaps from major into minor.

How do u kno what Chords go over a scale?

say u have C Major

C D E F G A B C

would that mean

The chords

C D E F G A B all go over that scale? but how do u kno which Minor chords etc u can play

Yes. In a Major key, it will always be:

1. Maj
2. min
3. min
4. Maj
5. Maj
6. min
7. Half diminished.
