I wrote this song while listening to The Ramones 'Howlin at the Moon'. I also pioneered my usage of little to no rhyme scheme. Please crit, and leave a link to your song please.

I aint gonna steal no more
Petty theft is not what im all about
I used to take just when I was hungry
But I could pay for what I had (la la la)

I aint gonna steal no more
It's not mongo that told me
Now I can afford, now I can afford
I figured it out all on my own

Chorus
Cuz I gave it up unlike robin hood
I wasn't doin it for a greater good
Now im done... now im done

I aint gonna steal no more
Ill get caught one of these days
That's not the reason I changed my mind
Security's so easy I can put it away (la la la)

I aint gonna steal no more
I aint got a cause, I got alotta flaws
That I can attest, lay it to rest
Kick the habit and now I'm done

Also, 'mongo' is a reference to one of my other songs about how my conscience's name is mongo.

Idk, dude, it seems pretty standard. I'm feeling the lack of metaphors and similes and stuff here. I'm curious, what kind of accompaniment do you have in mind?

I'm imagining this with a simple power chord punk backing. Am I right?

I know songs don't need to rhyme but for a simple song like this I'm pretty sure you could make it rhyme if you wanted to.

Also "no more" is a forgettable title as it could be about anything. I'd at least go with "I ain't gonna steal no more."

K, thanks tom. And yea, simple chord backing.
