How much did it take you to make? If you made a $1500 profit off that, that would be incredible.

jerominofesto said he spent about $450 making it.

I hardly ever see "home-made" basses sell on ebay, unless the seller has some sort of credibility (reviews, a webpage, etc). No one is going to spend 2000 bucks on a bass they know nothing about, and have never played. And I hope he fixed the uneven string ferrules

I am just putting it on ebay as a joke. I know it won't sell, but if someone were to buy it I would be fine with that.

No offence, I'm sure it's a great bass, but I doubt many people are going to spend thousands of dollars on an unbranded bass, made by someone they've never heard of, without ever playing it. I know I wouldn't - for that much I could get a custom made by a known luthier, and be confident of its quality.

If he is able to sell it he'll make a profit of $1550.00 .
I regret not taking carpentry or a electronics class just to get some kind of experience, I blame my schedule.

Well guys, it's obviously a win win situation for him, I can't imagine why he wouldn't put it on ebay.
If someone buys it, he makes a 1600 dollar profit, if someone does it, he has a bass.

Yeah, someone bid on it!! I honestly didn't think that would happen. It is some guy from the same place I live and he came over and tried it out. I guess he liked it enough to bid on it. He was really good too, blew me away. :amaze:

By the way what happened to the thread that I made about this bass a couple weeks ago? All of the sudden it was gone and my post count went to 0!

seems odd to bid on it when he lives there, sell it outright to him and save the fees.
