I love the thing I just need some hints to get the sound I want. I'm after a really heavy distortion. I know I could experiment more, but a quick hint would be helpful.

Set it to Metal,
Drive/sens-half
Tone/cutoff-full
D.level/resonance-full
E.level-half

And use the expression pedal and put on like...quater wah, just to cut off a little bit of the buzz

Welcome to the club :thumb:

Actually i just use the hi-band drive now and put everything on full, an octave down and it sounds pretty fat.

I want a gt-6b :(

I'm after the bass sound used in Fear Factory and Type O Negative. I must be using this thing wrong.

I may get myself one of those babies for my birthday.
Damn september being at the end of the year.

Is it completley worth the £160 or whatever?

Perhaps people could post their favourite combinations of settings. So we can see its full potential.

The start (and the middle part too) of "Dreams [Escape]" uses a combination of compression, slow gear, distortion, and delay. I don't remember the exact settings, because I saved it in the memory bank after I made it, but didn't write anything down.

I had another one which i thought was much better, but i wasnt recording it at the time.

And another reason why im better than Morrello- because ive got 2 output jacks i can whammy feedback and still have a constant sound  So i usually end up using the cable as a pick.

Awesome! I'm still trying to find a mellow distortion. Cause the sound can be a bit harsh. I'd also like a nice chorus effect.

TRy using the hi-band drive insted of the metal, that makes it softer

This has nothing to do with the contemporary topic of the thread, but...

I've played around alot with the big Boss multi-effects lately, and I've got to admit, they wern't too shabby at all. Some neat sounds to be found within.

Cool, like a silencer for distortion.
