I dunno if anyone else does this...but I notice when i drum that my legs move up and down (not my foot, the beater doesnt hit the drum, but my legs keep moving) It doesnt really effect my playing what so ever and I just wondered if anyone else has this little silly habit. If its normal or bad, etc.
EDIT- Come to think of it, it might be some kind of like, invoulentary counting device for me, I dunno

It might use up some energy, but other than that I wouldn't think it's that bad if it's not affecting your playing otherwise.

Don't worry about it.
You're probally just excited. And it could in fact be you keeping time involuntarily.

I keep time with my toes when I'm not actually playing a kick.

my left heel goes up and down when it's not doing anything, mind you, it goes up and down when it is doing something too.

i bet you dont do it when your concentrating; its you finding your groove, it helps with time and feel.

Hey TS, dont worry I do it to. Mostly when I am not drumming but I have been known to do it while drumming. It will go away in time. My dad did it when he was younger aswel.
