I would just like to hear someone elses kit UNEDITED with a mic because i just want to see how my kit sounds compared to another one. You can play a drum solo or anything if you have the time. I wanna hear your kit straight up without it being toyed with to make it sound better...
Thanks

This is silly. No two kits will sound the same. Even if it's the same brand and line.
A) Different heads.
B) Different Tunings
That and every drum, like every cymbal, is slightly different.

for the short time i had mics, i never 'toyed' with the sound. no matter how we record, u are not going to hear it the same as if u heard it right next to us. all i have right now is an mp3 player, ill borrow it from my bassist tommorow

What are you talking about i just wanna hear different kits...i dont wanna see if they are EXACTLY the same as mine???
Its just interesting to hear different kits and how they have been tunned.

u cant compare a recording to a live. if u have a recording we can compare that (assuming everything is mic'd the same way)

I always mess with EQ on my recordings. Im trying to sift through them to see If I can find some dry ones.

I have appropriately entitled this mp3 " shi-te":)
All just kind of outtakes, unedited. Bit of latin, a very basic beat, and a bit of latin again, all recorded at different times, so the recording sounds vary. Minidisc on the first, and I think my other mics and desk on the others. At the end, I just tagged on a few seconds of my kit which is actually treated with a bit of reverb and a little oomph. The unedited stuff by comparison sounds incredibly dull.

i seriously need some mics and a mixer :( .

It's me and my friend jamming some songs. Recorded at the same time (guitar and drums) with a single cheap mic, but it sounds quite good. Any comments appreciated. :)
