Ampeg BA 115

Well, I am thinking about getting this Ampeg. I have been playing on a GK Backline 2 112. And it is just about craped out on me. I have heard alot of good things about this Ampeg and I would like to know how long it will last me? Any other advice will also be appreciated.

The BA115 is a pretty nice combo amp, (i hear the 2x10 version sucks) but to me it's still an Ampeg which means it's way overpriced, for 500 dollars or a little more you could get a nice deal on an Avatar 1x15 cab and a head,

It seems Avatar's deal with the low priced amps is over or at least narrowed to the Ashdown (nice amp).

Honestly you may like ashdowns more, there like the warmer happier brother of Ampeg.

I've had an Ampeg BA-115 for a year and i love it. however, i've upgraded recently and i just don't have a need for it. also, while i really like it, i'm just not a big fan of 1x15s. they're simply not my sound.

I play with a Ampeg BA 115 with my band. I love it it has great warm sound and no buzz it's amazing a good alternative surprisingly is the Ibanez 100 watt. But the Ampeg (if you have the money) is great.

Yeah, I paid 400 for mine, but I probably wouldn't pay 500 dollars now that they've jacked up the price.

It's a very nice amp, built solid and has a killer sound for both rock and jazz, as well as pizz and arco upright. Unfortunately, I don't think it's worth 500 dollars. If you can get it used, do that.

I have one, and it's great. Better than any of the other combos I've tried. Worth my money for sure.

Personally, I'd think it's a downgrade from your current amp.

I just bought a Ba115HP the 220 watt version of the same model. Honestly its a really killer amp. Good tone and versatility.

Its a little on the heavy side at 80 pounds but its well worth it, plus its got the kickback feature although I don't see much difference in anything.

Mind you I only paid 300CAN$ for it so it was a real good deal.

i have a ba115, i think it sounds really nice! i cant really say anything about how long it lasts, ive had mine for about 9 months though and its still working perfectly. my only complaint is that the single strap to lift it with on top is annoying and i would prefer handles on the side. but you cant have everything.

if you dont mind spending the money get it! mine cost me $1000 australian.

I own a BA-115, it's a pretty decent little combo.

Ampeg sound has never dissapointed me, although as true with most other ampegs; the thing is noisy as all hell.

Doesn't detract from the sound when you're actually playing in a live situation, though. The thing is pretty loud, but more so "room-filling." I find it has a deep, thick sound rather than a loud, soaring tone. It'll get you through band practice no doubt. Perhaps even a few smaller gigs.

Pretty decent amp.

just a thought if u wanna go ampeg. that paired with an avatar cab would be HAWT! it prolly would cost u an extra $200 or so but if u have to money thats well worth it. plus ill give u $75 for your backline :D... wuts wrong with it anyways?
